Le Castellet

The family and I stopped by the little village of Le Castellet to do some browsing in the shops and to take in the view while sipping on a cool drink. This village is located on a hilltop and on a clear day you can see the Mediterranean. In one of the pictures I posted, engraved above the door way is the date 1681.

This medieval village is very popular on public holidays and in the summer months. With its traditional village houses made of stone and the cobble stone streets, it’s a fantastic place to spend the afternoon.

Take some time to visit the Gourmand Ice Cream parlor then plant yourself down just outside of it and take in the breathtaking view. I could pass the entire afternoon just gazing out at the vineyards and hills.

Let me know how you like it when you get the chance to visit.
