About backyardprovence

I was finally able to realized my dream of living in France when I moved here in 2010. I love to read,I love history and road trips. I want to be doing anything outside in the fresh air. I want to have an entire room devoted to a personal library.

  1. Never a bad day since the roof was fixed, huh? Love the beautiful architecture.

    • Actually, we’ve had some bad days since then, but I keep telling myself I live here and it’s all worth it 🙂 Dude on the other hand is getting annoyed and has a hard time seeing the forest through the trees!

  2. Just took my son to the zoo a week ago, that view so familiar from the rhino enclosure 🙂 His first stop off because the wilderbeasts are his second favourite animal after the giraffe. Bliss.

    • I love that zoo, Claire. It’s really nice. We took our daughter there a year ago for her birthday. I love the meerkats and the giraffes 🙂 The views of the castle are wonderful. I took a tour of it years ago and have promised myself to return. I need to get on that!

  3. Great photos Ashley. There is so much of Provence that I have yet to visit.

  4. I need to get down to Bandol and stock up on the Rosé 🙂

    • I hear the wine in Bandol is excellent, Sara. It is rather odd that I live here and don’t really drink wine, I do know that I am missing out! It’s also evident in the crazy looks I get from people when I tell them that 🙂
